So now that my blog has successfully moved over from to a new host, I’m still moving. Physically, that is. To a new city!

Frankly, it’s exhausting, especially because I hate packing and moving. I wish I could be cooking away right now but instead, I’m trying to convince myself which pots and pans I should keep and which I should donate.

I am very excited to be moving though and can’t wait to begin this next chapter in life (more on that in the next post). It’s all very bittersweet. So for the time being, you may not hear from me for about a week (give or take a couple days) so I can get through my move smoothly!

Can’t wait to tell you all about it, so stay tuned, you lovely readers :)

In the meantime, these quotes express how I’m feeling right now–curious about the world ahead of me…maybe you can relate to them too…

Cheers :)

  1. moving is weird – like being scared and excited at the same time. new adventure – excited for you . . . j

  2. Moving is sort of scary a thing, for me it might be the change. I don’t do well with change. It stresses me out not knowing whats ahead. Just like you, I plan ahead I guess because it makes me feel like I’m in control not sure. In any case I know everything will fall in place for you. You’ll have to keep me posted! I’m excited for you and all the new things that will take place in this new chapter for you. Oh and the book let me know how you like!

    : )

    • Yep, fear of the “unknown”. But I guess if you never do it, you’ll never know what’s out there. So I’m ready to take that risk! And I will definitely keep you posted! Thanks for all of your kind words…you keep me sane haha

  3. Stephanie –

I moved cross country about 6 years ago and it has had it challenges, but truly has been the best experience in my life. Just ease in to it and take it one day at a time – probably the worst part is the packing, moving and unpacking part. Be open to your new place and it will let you discover so many wonderful things. Just go with your emotions – I cried, went through home sickness, loss of the familiar, etc. and made it through it and kept moving forward. Hang in There & Good Luck – Here’s to New Adventures!!!

  4. I DO NOT LIKE moving at all either, but I do like adventures and have been thinking that moving may be what I need in the near future. WE shall see. I cannot wait to see the new digs and hear how the transition went…

    Godspeed. And tequila. ;)

  5. […] crazy, frantic, happy, busy, and fun last month and a half it has been since I picked up and moved out of Davis. From apartment hunting, to spontaneous trips and daily adjustments, to a week-long vacation […]
