The Great Food Blogger Cookie Swap: Chocolate Nutella Cookies

It’s that time of the year again…cookie season! And my favorite way to kick it off is by participating in the Annual Great Food Blogger Cookie Swap hosted by The Little Kitchen and Love and Olive Oil. This is my third year participating and I feel like it just gets better and better every year! Here are my cookies from Year 1 and Year 2 if any of you are curious. The way it works: Food bloggers sign up online and then we receive 3 matches. We then make 3 dozen of the same cookie and send out 1 dozen to each match. In return, we get 3 different types of cookies (1 dozen each) from 3 other bloggers. It’s pretty amazing, especially when you have hundreds of bloggers participating from all over the world! Also, this year Julie and Lindsay got some great sponsors who matched our donations, and we ended up [Continue Reading…]

Recap: Foodbuzz Festival 2012

Hi friends :) It’s been a few weeks! This post was suppose to go out about 2 weeks ago but then the SF Giants won the World Series! Needless to say I got distracted and this post was put on hold…Go Giants! Anyway, 3 weekends ago, Dailybuzz Food (formerly Foodbuzz) hosted the 4th Annual Foodbuzz Fest in San Francisco. Bloggers from all over the country flew out to California to meet other bloggers, explore the city, and eat! This event is really like Christmas for bloggers. Warning: This particular post is a little long but the event was just so amazing that I had to share details! Friday – October 19, 2012 The event started on a Friday night. We all checked in at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel and then headed up to the 21st floor around 5pm to enjoy a cocktail reception. There I got to meet a bunch of bloggers [Continue Reading…]

Foodbuzz Blogger Festival Recap

Last weekend I attended the 3rd Annual Foodbuzz Blogger Festival. This was the third year of the festival but my first time attending since I have only been blogging for under a year. How do I explain this…THE FESTIVAL WAS AMAZING!! LIKE CHRISTMAS. I think a fellow blogger put it in a great way: “It’s like comic-con, but for food bloggers.” Yes. Yes, indeed it is.  At registration, we were given a huge goodie bag from the get go. Two pounds of Godiva coffee (hazelnut and chocolate truffle flavors), chocolate samples, a tumbler, a DIY Cocktails Recipe Book, a reusable Foodbuzz Festival bag, and lots of other fun SWAG. Then we were shuffled over to the welcome reception where we checked our coats (how fancy, right?) and people were walking around serving us wine, beer, and delightful hourderves made by Sabra. Shortly after that, we went upstairs for the main [Continue Reading…]

Strawberry, Avocado, and Mango Salad

What a week! From having my last two posts’ pictures featured on Foodgawker (and one on Tastespotting!), to having the honor of working with two great ladies from The Frugal Flambe and The Paleo Project in executing a 3-tiered guest post on all of our blogs, to being featured on the Foodbuzz’s Daily Top 9 two days ago, I am ecstatic! That may not seem like much to some, but for me, it’s beyond what I’ve ever imagined. Welcome, new readers! I hope you will enjoy this blog. And to the devoted readers that have been following me throughout these past six months, I cannot be more grateful that you have put up with my random thoughts and endless rants about life and food. When I started this blog on January 1st this year, I never expected that anyone more than my close friends and family would read it. And I was [Continue Reading…]
